My name is Niamh and I like history. It’s about the only thing I’ve managed to stay consistent about in my life. That and not liking broccoli…

I would self-describe as an ancient historian, technically a published one, but I enjoy any history that gets me as close to “normal people” as possible. I am a graduate of the BA Ancient History programme at Swansea University and am currently undertaking an MA in Public History at Royal Holloway (the very reason this blog exists!).

Humans are strange and we’ve been this way the whole time. This blog is a space to explore that. To talk about the peculiar and realise it was never that peculiar at all. I hope you’ll join me!
